Zivame, which is one of the fastest growing players in the lingerie market, has appointed Ms. Amisha Jain as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Amisha will strengthen Zivame’s efforts in bringing innovative products for Indian woman and furthering growth by intensifying its omni channel presence.
Amisha Jain will be replacing Shaleen Sinha who was working as the CEO of Zivame until April this year and is now learnt to have left the company. Shaleen Sinha had replaced Richa Kar, co-founder of the startup in March last year.
Prior to this new appointment, Amisha Jain was heading the Arvind Sports Lifestyle business and the Digital Center of Excellence for the Arvind group before joining Zivame. She has a rich experience in leading growth and transformation initiatives for multi-national and domestic consumer goods & apparel brands.
She was chosen for the prestigious “40 under 40: India’s Hottest Business leaders 2015” and “India Inc’s rising women business leaders 2015” award by Economic Times & Spencer Stuart, when she was Head of Sales at Nike India.
Amisha brings over 16 years of experience in technology, consumer and retail to the firm. Commenting on her appointment, she said, “Zivame is a revolutionary brand that has transformed the face of the Indian lingerie market with a differentiated product portfolio. The company was founded in 2011 by Richa Kar with the vision of helping women uninhibitedly shop for intimate wear. So far, the company has raised over $49 million in various funding rounds from Zodius Capital, Kalaari Capital, IDG Ventures, Unilazer Ventures, among others.
