Froyofit, a fitness discovery platform, has raised an undisclosed amount in pre series A funding round, led by Dr. Pooja Gandhi. Pooja is an Indian actress and producer and works mainly in Kannada and Tamil cinema. The company has also announced that Pooja will also be the face of Froyofit in South Indian market.
The fresh funds will be used for expansion to other tier-2 markets and fuel the growth in acquiring more users. Commenting about the utilization of the raised funding and getting Pooja Gandhi on-board, Piyush Jain, Founder of Froyofit, said,

Founded in late 2015 by IIM Alumnus Piyush Jain, Froyofit is a fitness app available on android and iOS platforms and caters mainly to the tier-2 market of fitness enthusiasts. It has more than 15 fitness categories on the app including but not limited to Gym, yoga, aerobics, dance, karate, pilates, swimming etc.
As per the numbers provided by the company, the platform has more than 500 vendors on board across 5 cities of India including Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad, Jaipur and Indore.
Commenting about the response received by the company, Pallavi Jain who heads the overall digital strategy of Froyofit said that the response to the concept of fitness discovery is really overwhelming in tier-2 markets. She further adds that in just over 8 months, the company has achieved a loyal fan base of more than 30,000 followers across the social media channels.
