Home Craft Online, which owns and operates Mumbai-based home furnishing startup BedBathMore has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Swedish bank AB Kinnevik Group, Rocket Internet and a few investors of FabFurnish.
Along with the announcement of its latest funding round, the company has also announced that it has revamped its website as well.
With this new funding, the startup will now work on creating a look-book for its customers who can source the products from the marketplace.
Commenting on the investment, Amit Dalmia, Founder and CEO, BedBathMore.com said,
It is a pleasure to associate with people who share a like-minded vision. These are early days in the online home solutions space in India and together we hope to create an inclusive platform where consumers come for ‘everything home’ and experience a completely disruptive way to go about their space needs. With the revamped website, we aim to provide a seamless experience to all our users which will be solution oriented, simple and relevant to their individual tastes.
The company was founded in 2012 by Amit Dalmia. It is an online store which offers a wide range of bed, bath and home products. The company had earlier raised funding from Blume Ventures and other angel investors.
It has also acqui-hired Homado, Crude Area, Paletly & Rebel Star over the last one year in order to offer a complete package to its users.
Though the startup primarily caters to India, it has also started shipping products to New Zealand, UK and Dubai. It is also the online distributor for brands like Portico New York, Dicitex Furnishings and King Koil Mattresses, among others.
It has also partnered with service providers in the interiors space include paint companies, designers, architects, among others for listing services.
It is notable that in January, there were reports that FabFurnish was in advanced talks for merger with BedBathMore. However, the deal did not go through and FabFurnish was later acquired by Future Group.
