AppilyEver, a Wedding services provider application, has raised $4,00,000 (approx. R. 2.7 Crore) in a seed round of funding from a group of angel investors, led by Varun Aggarwal, founder of Univariety.
With the newly raised funding capital, the startup is now looking forward to utilize it for product development and marketing efforts.
The Hyderabad-based startup was founded by Rakesh Gupta and Sumit Handa in 2015. It provides a diverse suite of wedding solutions, spread across web, mobile app, and physical channels to assist the user.
The platform claims to currently have over 2,000 products and curates over 10 categories for planning a wedding. It allows users to send out invites, share updates and pictures, create events, and access relevant content.
Varun Aggarwal, founder of Univariety, said,
Current models of vendor listing or aggregation models have not made a dent. Wedding is a social occasion and AppilyEver’s approach of recreating the physical wedding on the app environment is hitting the sweet spot.
He further says that the Indian wedding market is pegged to be around $40 billion and is ripe for disruption.
Earlier this month, another similar startup named Weddingz raised pre-Series A round of funding from Sixth Sense Ventures.
